3. This view is of the rear lanai which is partially covered to create shade from the afternoon sun. The cable rail surrounding the upper deck and stairwell provides a transparent barrier allowing one to enjoy the park and mature mango trees below. In addition, they are another subtle modern element to contrast the local vernacular.
