7. This photograph truly captures the new kitchen with all its textures, colors and successful proportions. The integral colors and texture of the imperial plaster walls and ceiling, the timelessness of the limestone floors and the crafted nature the original tongue and groove walls all play into this wonderful kitchen experience. The sky blue ceiling brings an amazing playfulness to the space emphasizing the ‘Joy of Cooking’ and celebrating the importance of this space for the owners. The custom shaker style cabinets with a personal artistic touch also add to the overall composition. The original chandelier over the island was kept for both its appropriateness to the new kitchen and as a reminder of the past.
