MODERNIST REVIVAL
1. This and the following page's photographs give two
perspectives of the new entry wing. The existing front
entry was difficult to identify and therefor confusing for the visitor.
This new entry wing was added to help define the point
of entry by creating a curved focal point contrasted against the
very simple rectilinear forms of the main house. The trellis members
serve a two fold function, one to caste interesting shadows on the
cement plaster walls and second, to provide lightness to the wing
structure. The copper clad fascias provide a rich, natural color
of timeless beauty. Click for more.
