STYLE AT THE BEACH

2. This is an exterior view of the North facing facade, adjacent to the common driveway. Due to its proximity to the driveway, the relationship between these two spaces became a series of walls and landscaping with partial views of the board & batten facade. Both the moss rock walls and the palette of plant materials are common icons in these beach environments. Contrasting these deeper colors, the exterior paint color very much picks up the colors of Kailua beach. Eventually the copper gutters and downspouts will naturally patina to the turquoise green found in the ocean at high noon.
